"Omena's" is the manifestation of Omena Apte's romance with beads and jewellery. Discover here, how a passion for making jewellery turned into a couture label.

Jewellery has always been my weakness. I believe that good jewellery makes a world of a difference to your personality.

Here's how it began....

I recollect window shopping at a prominent street in Mumbai . I stopped by a store with the most exquisite jewellery. I could not take my eyes off a stunning neckpiece I saw there. The price was staggering! Totally unaffordable...but my heart was set on it.

Why not make it myself?

I was determined to do exactly that!

I took formal training. It was an absolute delight to learn the various styles and techniques in jewellery making. I was inspired to learn more..and create more..

Choosing the right medium for my creations was of primary importance. My intent was to make premium, unique and affordable jewellery.

That was a tall order!

Persistence yielded results and I was successful in procuring the raw material that I desired.

I began to design and hand craft the jewellery of my dreams.

Exhibitions of my brand, "Omena's" were held in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore. My happiness knew no bounds when I was invited to sell my creations through "The Lotus House", at the Mumbai International Airport, and

a saree brand,"Suta".

"Omena's" jewellery now sells at "Art Port",, located at airports in 5 cities: Delhi, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Cochin

I am truly blessed that my passion has yielded beautiful results.
